Hello, my name is John Cody Jr. I grew up in Spring Park, MN which is one of the many towns surrounding Lake Minnetonka. My first time hunting was when one of my best friends took me duck hunting 12 years ago. Just watching the birds and the way that they moved immediately got me hooked. That day, I knew I was addicted. In the fall, I thrive on honkers from Lake Minnetonka, always trying to stay two steps ahead of them. I have been guiding for the last four years with Flight Patrol Guide Service out of the West Metro of Minnesota. In the fall, we hunt honkers and ducks and come spring time, we hunt Snow Geese in Missouri and South Dakota. The snow goose is my favorite bird to hunt. I believe that it is an art to hunt these birds. The sleep deprivation, the time and effort it takes to setup a spread and move it just a few days later is all worth the while when tornados of geese move into the field right above you. |
